The Unseen Thread
At the corner tea stall, a Gaddi* dog lies curled up near the charcoal stove. The old vendor tosses a piece of bread its way without looking, and the dog catches it expertly. There’s something reassuring about this quiet exchange—no words, no expectations, just a small kindness beneath the broken streetlight.
A motorcyclist zooms past, swerving dangerously; we move closer to each other.
