Issue 2 - September 2025 - Tanka prose 3
An Autumn Afternoon
i sit and gaze
at the calligraphy
on an autumnal window
the glass
gently weeping rain
Despite a slight wetness in some places where the ink has bled, I continue to read my friend’s letter, trying to decipher a few words which were once so familiar.
remembering
all the strokes and curves
of those long forgotten letters
i refill ink
in my old fountain pen
