the robbers 

pooled their tactics

to loot a bank …

to my granddaughter it feels

like an exciting story

               in the aftermath

               of a recent robbery

               CCTV cameras

               and floodlights installed,

               yet I check each latch every night

       paper boats

       in the rain puddle

       left alone

       until they soften

       and fall apart
